Benefits and usages
The calcium preparation process uses microcrystalline hydroxyapatite (M.C.H.A.), which offers an advantage in absorption and bioavailability. The micro-pulverised ingredients in this formula are more easily absorbed than those produced by a usual grinding process, and the considerably smaller particle size transits the intestinal lining far more readily than larger particles.
The elemental quantity of calcium — 250 mg per capsule — is the actual amount that reaches the blood after absorption. Since the USRDA for calcium in adults is 1,000 mg, four capsules daily provides the full recommended daily intake, which supports bone strength.
The boron in this formula adds to its nutritional value, as does the vitamin K; research has associated both with supporting skeletal structure.
Dosage, quantity and administration
Each bottle contains 120 capsules.
Suggested use: two capsules twice daily, or one capsule four times daily.
Contraindications
Not suitable for those with markedly uncontrolled elevation of blood calcium caused by a medical condition known to leach calcium from bone, such as primary hyperparathyroidism or cancer. Referral to a physician is recommended in either circumstance.
